He Ministry of Social Development (Mides) reported that this Monday, June 1, the second payment of 2026 of the Conditional Monetary Transfer Programs (PTMC), benefiting 185 thousand 791 people throughout the country through an investment of 54 million dollars.
The disbursements correspond to the 120 to 65, Opportunities Network, Guardian Angel and Nutritional Food Bonus programs. initiatives that are part of the State’s social protection network and that together represent an annual investment close to the 220 million dollars.
According to Mides, for this second payment of the year, 3,175 new beneficiaries were incorporated, while 4,139 people were excluded after the data updating and verification processes. Of the total beneficiaries, 69% correspond to women and 30.9% to men.
The entity detailed that payments through the Social Key Card will be made between June 1 and 12. Meanwhile, payment days in hard-to-reach areas are scheduled from June 15 to 19.
As part of the monitoring of these programs, the Minister of Social Development, Beatriz Carles de Arangowill carry out a supervision tour of San Miguelito, Panama Norte, Panama City, Veraguas and Los Santos, where he will verify the development of payments and the days of attention to beneficiaries.
Mides incorporates more than 11 thousand new beneficiaries to social programs from 2024
From July 2024, the Ministry of Social Development has strengthened the coverage of the Conditional Monetary Transfer Programs by incorporating 11 thousand 433 new beneficiaries throughout the country.
This expansion has required an investment greater than 3.54 million dollarsaimed at providing economic support to people and families who are in a vulnerable situation and require assistance from the State.
