The alert of possible “severe weather phenomena” persists tonight in a department of the Western Region. Tomorrow’s Sunday forecast calls for more rain.
Shortly after 11:00 p.m. this Saturday, the Directorate of Meteorology and Hydrology issued a new alert bulletin that warns of the possibility of new rains and thunderstorms in part of the Chaco during the last hours of Saturday and early Sunday morning.
The warning indicates that a “storm system persists over the coverage area, with the probability of causing occasional severe weather phenomena.”
“Moderate to strong” rains and storms are expected in the department of Alto Paraguay.
Rains will continue on Sunday
The extended forecast anticipates rain also tomorrow, Sunday and at least until Monday in much of the country, including Assumption.
