PARAMARIBO — Due to the installation of the commander of the National Army – Mitchell Labadie – a road diversion will apply around the barracks from six o’clock in the morning on Friday. This concerns the Gemenelandsweg between Zinnia and Van Idsingastraat, as well as the part of Gravenberchstraat between Van Idsingastraat and Rode Kruislaan.
The police are calling on road users to take the changed traffic situation into account and, where possible, use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
