Actress María José Martínez, remembered for her participation in programs such as ‘Your stereo voice’ or ‘Pecados Capitales’, broke the silence about a reality that, according to herself, has accompanied her since her first steps in the world of entertainment.
During an interview for the podcast ‘Vos podés’, The presenter described some episodes of sexual and workplace harassment within the industryas well as the difficulties he has faced in the professional field.

According to the artist, her career has been marked by power dynamics in which the media in which she has worked have not provided her with guarantees and protection from certain people.
“This has happened to me since, practically since I started”expressed the interpreter, referring to the situations that she was forced to endure in order not to lose her job and that, over time, she understood that they were not normal.

In the middle of his intervention, Martínez explained that one of the most recurrent situations occurred in spaces linked to work: “It happened to me that at the company party (someone) got drunk, grabbed your head and forcibly kissed you. He put his hand in your groin”.
According to the presenter, even though she has been away from television for years, she has realized that this type of behavior continues to affect other women, who are often questioned for not presenting evidence of the attacks they experience in their work spaces.

The actress also took advantage of the space to remember a particular episode that occurred during her time on ‘MasterChef Celebrity’ when, during an outside taping, a member of the show cornered her in her room.
“When I was going to close the door, he put his hand in, drunk. And I: what happened? He took out the phone and told me: ‘Tomorrow’s test just arrived. If you let me in, I’ll tell you what it is,'” Martínez explained during the interview, where she recalled that, feeling intimidated, she could only insist that the subject leave.

The next day, when discussing it with other participants, she discovered that the man had knocked on the doors of two of her colleagues. Although the presenter informed the production of what happened at the hotel, she confessed that she did not feel cared for during the rest of her participation.
After revealing the fact, the host of ‘Vos podés’ asked for the identity of the person, to which Martínez simply said: “Presenter. He is no longer here.”referring to the fact that one of the reasons why he left the reality show was the uncomfortable moment it caused the actress, even though he claimed to have resigned.
