“This is a rougher and bluesier version of the original song that we’ve been playing with for years. I’m very happy that we finally got the chance to record it,” says singer Jökull Júlíusson about Kaleo’s latest single, Still No Good, which comes out today.
The single will be released on the occasion of the upcoming 10th anniversary of the band’s first LP. A/B.
“Almost ten years ago, we released an album that changed our lives forever,” says Jökull, adding: “To celebrate our 10th anniversary, we’re releasing an EP on all streaming platforms on June 12, featuring rare studio recordings and some of our most memorable live recordings.”
The debut album A/B includes popular songs such as All The Pretty Girls, No Good and Way Down We Gowhich went to #1 on the Billboard Alternative Rock chart and has been streamed nearly 4 billion times and used in over 3 million TikTok videos worldwide.
Kaleo will have a concert at Þingvellir on June 20.
“It is a great honor for us to be able to share this experience with 20,000 Icelanders, the great artists who will perform and everyone who wants to celebrate with us at Þingvellir,” he says.
