    Iran’s power consuming giant was identified

    According to the report of Economy Online, quoted by IRNA, at the same time as the electricity consumption peaked in the excruciating heat of Khuzestan, the electricity distribution company of this province, by implementing strict monitoring plans, succeeded in gaining the first rank in the country in the detection and confiscation of illegal cryptocurrency mining devices. An action that is carried out with the aim of protecting the stability of the network and preventing the violation of the rights of domestic subscribers.

    threat to network stability; When miners take the place of coolers

    The special climatic conditions of Khuzestan and the vital need of the people for cooling equipment put the electricity network of this province in a critical situation in the summer. In the meantime, the illegal activity of cryptocurrency mining devices (miners) that are connected to the network without complying with technical regulations imposes a double pressure on the facilities. Experts emphasize that the electricity consumption of a miner complex can be equal to the consumption of dozens of households, and by causing voltage drop, increasing losses and even damage to public equipment, it will disrupt the electricity supply to residential areas.

    implementation of “Mohtab” project; Collection of 10 thousand unauthorized branches

    Ali Khodari, CEO of Khuzestan Electricity Distribution Company, stressed that the company’s main priority is to provide stable electricity for the domestic, medical and service sectors, and announced the intensification of dealing with violators. Referring to the achievements of “Moon Project”, he announced that the inspection teams, in cooperation with the law enforcement and judicial forces, have succeeded in identifying and collecting more than 10,000 unauthorized branches and 185 transformers. According to the officials, in addition to confiscating the equipment, these centers will also face heavy legal fines.

    signs of activity of unauthorized centers; The awake eyes of the citizens

    Given that many cryptocurrency mining centers operate in unpredictable locations such as warehouses, garden villas, or workshops, public participation plays a key role in identifying them. Citizens can be alert to signs such as:

    * continuous sound of fans and cooling equipment in non-industrial environments;

    * Unconventional electricity consumption and sudden changes in bills;

    * Tampering with the meter or electrical outlets;

    * Heat and suspicious traffic in suspicious places;

    Report possible cases to the communication systems of the electricity distribution company in order to prevent unwanted outages during hot summer days.

    Expert view: a battle to protect people’s rights

    Sattar Nazari, director of the electricity consumption management office of Khuzestan Power Distribution Company, while emphasizing the technical aspects of this issue, noted that dealing with unauthorized miners, beyond a regulatory measure, is an attempt to assert the rights of citizens who need stable electricity flow in extreme heat. This fight continues around the clock, relying on smart consumption monitoring systems, throughout Khuzestan province.

    With the intensification of the electricity consumption crisis in the summer of Khuzestan, Ahvaz has also joined the group of leading provinces in the fight against illegal cryptocurrency miners. The implementation of the “Moonlight” plan in the center of the province has led to the collection of thousands of unauthorized branches and the discovery of hundreds of mining devices, which, along with legal proceedings, is an important step towards maintaining the stability of the network and providing sustainable electricity to citizens.

    electricity; National capital depends on the cooperation of citizens

    Mohammad Farati, CEO of Ahvaz Electricity Distribution Company, emphasized the two-fold role of distribution companies and subscribers in maintaining public electricity capital. Pointing out that consumption monitoring, public information and encouraging low consumption are among simultaneous measures for optimal energy management, he noted that in Ahvaz, considering the extent of the network and the intensity of consumption in the summer, even small unauthorized consumption can have profound negative effects on the stability of the network.

    The results of the “Moonlight” project in Ahvaz; Justice in energy distribution

    Describing the achievements of the “Moonlight” project in Ahvaz, Farati announced the collection of about 9,000 unauthorized branches, which has greatly helped to resolve the instability of the network and reduce unwanted blackouts. He added: Also, with the cooperation of the judicial system and the Economic Security Police, 412 illegal cryptocurrency mining machines have been identified and seized. The CEO of Ahvaz Electricity Distribution Company asked citizens to participate in preserving national capital and providing public comfort by reporting suspicious activities.

    legal implications; From fine to prosecution

    Using cryptocurrency devices without legal permits is considered a serious violation that entails heavy legal and financial consequences for the violators. In addition to receiving charges for electricity consumption, damages to the network and legal crimes, in cases where unauthorized use leads to equipment damage, widespread blackouts or violation of public rights, a court case will also be filed. Therefore, activity in this field is possible only by fully complying with the rules and obtaining the necessary permits.

    Khuzestan; Leader in the fight against unauthorized miners

    Ali Khodari, the CEO of Khuzestan Electricity Distribution Company, by emphasizing the continuation of decisive measures against illegal consumption, announced that he was ranked first in the country in the detection and confiscation of illegal miners last year. He considered this success to be the result of synergy and serious determination of the province’s regulatory, judicial and law enforcement agencies and stated: The fight against illegal mining of cryptocurrencies, which causes pressure on the network, increases energy losses and disrupts the supply of stable electricity to customers, is still the main priority of Khuzestan Electricity Distribution Company.

    The view of the judicial system; Intensification of confrontation and special branches

    Amir Khalafian, the central prosecutor of Khuzestan, also pointed to the discovery of more than 4,289 illegal mining devices in the last year in the province, and emphasized the need to deal decisively with these violators. He announced the formation of special branches in the Prosecutor’s Office to speed up the handling of cryptocurrency cases and added: Considering the sensitive conditions of the country and the importance of preventing energy imbalances, especially in a province like Khuzestan, the judicial system of the province will take a special look at this issue. The prosecutor of the provincial capital also emphasized the necessity of providing detailed monthly reports by the electricity distribution company and determining the immediate assignment of the discovered equipment.

    joint operation of the police and the electric company; A blow to traders

    Col. Hossein Zalqi, the deputy police commander of Khuzestan, announced this news and stated: Considering the importance of stable electricity supply in the province, especially in the current situation, the economic security police officers identified unauthorized cryptocurrency mining workshops by carrying out extensive intelligence measures. He added: After coordinating with the judicial authorities and with the cooperation of the representatives of the electricity distribution company, an inspection operation was carried out in these workshops, as a result of which, 489 unauthorized mining devices that were illegally connected to the electricity network were discovered and confiscated.

    This action of the police is another step in the direction of fighting against the excessive consumption of electricity and protecting the rights of legal subscribers in Khuzestan province.
