TRC employees went out to clean the designated area along the Nura-Yesil canal, designated by the akimat as one of the sanitary cleaning zones. Journalists, supporting the nationwide movement for a clean and green country, cleaned up the coastal area and brought order to the public space, which contributed to the improvement of the capital.

The environmental event was joined by city residents, representatives of government agencies, labor collectives, businesses, volunteers, maslikhat deputies, public organizations, as well as cultural and sports figures.

Comprehensive cleaning was carried out in different areas of the capital: streets, sidewalks and courtyards were cleared, city neighborhoods were put in order, and unauthorized landfills were liquidated. Seasonal work was carried out to care for green spaces and landscaping the city.

More than 120 thousand citizens took part in the large-scale environmental action. 10 thousand trees were planted, more than 150 tons of garbage were collected and removed.

Today’s cleanup event has once again demonstrated that the idea of a clean yard, district and city is becoming part of everyday practice and personal choice of citizens.
