President of the Bosniak Party (BS) Ervin Ibrahimovićin the company of the former President of the Republic of Croatia and the President of the Presidency of the SFRY Stjepan Mesićvisited the “Reumal” rehabilitation center in Fojnica Bogić Bogićevićformer member of the Presidency of the SFRY, it was announced from BS.
“We remember Bogićević as a man who, with his personal and political courage and responsibility, prevented the introduction of a state of emergency in the SFRY and the takeover of power by the then JNA”, according to BS.
As they point out, Bogić Bogićević is a symbol of the anti-fascist, civil and democratic political vision during and after the period of the dissolution of the SFRY.
“During the visit, Ibrahimović, Mesić and Bogićević discussed topics from the period of the disintegration of the SFRY, but also exchanged opinions on today’s current events and the future of the region. They agree that the countries of the Western Balkans have a place in the European Union and that the EU is the framework in which the region can achieve long-term stability and prosperity,” reads the BS statement.
