Akim of Astana Zhenis Kasymbek reported to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev that this year it is planned to transform 173 city locations (public and courtyard spaces), planting more than 1.1 million green spaces (seedlings, shrubs, flowers, trees).
One of the key projects is the formation of the territory of the Samal Park, which will become a new center of attraction for citizens. The park is designed as a multifunctional area for family, sports and cultural leisure.
Earlier it was reported that the Head of State took part in the republican environmental campaign “Taza Kazakhstan”. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, together with environmental activists, planted a tree on the territory of the capital’s Samal Park.
