On May 2, the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan held a meeting dedicated to the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945.
The event, titled “Heroes – Examples for Generations,” was held jointly with public organizations from the Mary velayat.
The meeting was attended by the veteran’s wife, Mary resident Husniya Hemrayeva, and home front veterans living in Mary, Handurdy Kuliyev and Amanbibi Yazgylyjova.
During the meeting, participants told the youth stories about various events that took place on the home front during the Great Patriotic War.
Veterans were presented with commemorative gifts and bouquets of flowers.
The event then continued with musical performances by the Kuvvat Institute’s musical group, according to the website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.
