The statement that the average wedding in Germany it costs about 13,000 euros, which can often be found on the Internet, is long outdated and imprecise. Due to the rising prices of food, services, music and decoration, organizing a wedding has become a serious financial undertaking – both in Germany and in the region, but also among the diaspora who live and hold weddings there.
The final cost cannot be determined as a lump sum, because it depends on the number of guests, the location and the wishes of the newlyweds – from the choice of venue and music, to the wedding dress and accompanying production. In order to make the picture clearer, three realistic budget models were singled out: Germany as a Western standard, Croatia as a regionally comparable destination, and Belgrade.
