The municipality of Junik has expressed concern regarding the incident reported today in the media, where a group of mountaineers, during their journey towards Gjeravica, near the area known as “Lake of the Heart”, were allegedly obstructed and threatened by a person present in that area.
The municipality clarified that, although the event took place within the administrative territory of Junik, the person involved, according to the information so far, is not a resident of this municipality.
For this reason, the competent institutions have been invited to handle the case and clarify the circumstances of the event in accordance with the law. /Express newspaper

The Municipality of Junik expresses concern regarding the incident reported today in the media, where a group of climbers, during their journey towards Gjeravica, near the area known as “Lake of the Heart”, were allegedly obstructed and threatened by a person present in that area.
For the purpose of fair and accurate information of the public opinion, we clarify that, although the reported event took place within the administrative territory of the Municipality of Junik, the person involved, according to the information so far, is not a resident of the Municipality of Junik. For this reason, we invite the competent law enforcement agencies to handle the case and fully clarify the circumstances of the event, in accordance with the law. Responsibility for any illegal action is individual and cannot be attributed to the community or citizens of Junik.
The municipality of Junik emphasizes that mountain tourism constitutes one of the main potentials of economic development and promotion of the natural values of our territory.
