The Party of Socialists and Democrats comments on the outcome of the debate on the Arengo Requests n. 47, 48 and 49: “Two of the three Petitions were accepted”. Now the party is asking to transform the commitments into concrete interventions by February 2027.
SAN MARiNO – The PSD expresses satisfaction with the outcome of the discussion in the Great and General Council on the Arengo Requests dedicated to gender rectification and homo-parental families.
“Two of the three requests were accepted”, underlines the party, also recalling the agenda shared by PSD, PDCS, AR and the independent councilors Giovanna Cecchetti And Michela Pelliccioniwhich keeps the discussion on parental responsibility open.
On gender transition, the PSD highlights the need for San Marino to equip itself with clear regulations: “It is not just a matter of changing a name or data in documents”, but of guaranteeing “rules, protection and respect” to each person.
The opinion on the approval of Application no. 48, relating to the registration of birth and adoption certificates drawn up abroad for same-parent families, was also positive. “The starting point is very simple: they already exist. Children, loved ones, daily care, responsibilities exist”, states the PSD.
On n.49, rejected by the Chamber, the party recognizes that “sensitivities and evaluations are still different”, but considers the agenda a tool to continue the work without turning the differences into a halt.
The indicated deadline is February 2027. “The Arengo Requests have opened doors. Now we need to go through them”, concludes the PSD, ensuring that it will follow the next steps “so that the commitments made in the Council become facts”.
