His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Commander of the Royal Guard, met with Mr. Mike Rogers, Chairman of the Armed Services Committee in the US House of Representatives, during His Highness’s visit to the capital of the United States of America, Washington, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the accompanying delegation.
His Highness stressed that the defense and military partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the friendly United States of America represents an advanced model of strategic cooperation based on mutual trust and shared visions aimed at supporting regional and international security and stability.
His Highness explained that the Comprehensive Agreement on Security Integration and Prosperity (C–SIPAIt contributed to consolidating the foundations of defense and security cooperation between the two friendly countries, and enhanced the level of strategic coordination in a way that supports security and stability in the region.
During the meeting, developments in military cooperation between the two friendly countries were also reviewed, ways to strengthen defense partnerships and develop areas of joint coordination, and a number of security issues of common interest, in a way that serves mutual interests and strengthens the foundations of security and stability.
