Fondec will suspend care this Friday due to fumigation. The official explanation did not prevent social networks from linking the announcement with the Albirroja match.
He National Fund for Culture and the Arts (Fondec) reported that this Friday, June 26 their offices will remain closed due to fumigation work in its facilities. However, the announcement soon generated a wave of comments on social networks, where several users ironically said that the “fumigation” would have more to do with a eventual celebration after the match that Paraguay will play tonight against Australia.
The Albirroja match is scheduled for 11:00 p.m. and keeps the fans expectant. That coincidence was enough for numerous Internet users to appeal to humor and turn the institutional statement into a source of memes and jokes.

The official statement
In its statement, Fondec explained that the closure responds exclusively to fumigation work.
“We inform the entire cultural community that tomorrow vFriday June 26 our offices will remain closed due to fumigation work that will be carried out at the institution’s facilities. This measure aims to guarantee adequate hygiene and safety conditions for officials, designers and visitors. Activities will be resumed normally on Monday, June 29, during our usual business hours, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The institution did not make any reference to the sporting commitment or any other reason other than the maintenance of its facilities.

Despite the official explanation, the ingenuity of the users quickly prevailed.
