On June 18, a firefighting and applied sports competition was held at the Beýik Serdar Nesilleri Children’s Health Center in Gökdere. Fourteen teams, formed from teenagers aged 10 to 14 who are staying at Gökdere’s children’s health centers, participated in the competition.
The competition program included five stages: overcoming wooden obstacles, quickly connecting a fire hose to a water source, a relay race, throwing balls at a target, and extinguishing a simulated fire using a fire extinguisher.
The event was organized with the participation of the State Fire Safety Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, the public organization “Young Naturalist”, the Ministry of Education, the Central Council of the Youth Organization named after Magtymguly, the National Center of Trade Unions, the Volunteer Fire Society, the National Red Crescent Society and the Federation of Fire-Applied Sports.
Based on the judging results, the team from the Nesil Children’s Health Center took third place, while the team from the Çynar Children’s Health Center took second place. The young firefighters from the Muhammetmurat Niyazov Children’s Health Center won the competition and were awarded a challenge cup. The winners and the most active participants received commemorative gifts from the organizers.
