Two fans from Vasco were beaten on Sunday night (3) in a fight after the classic with the Flemishat Maracanã.
The episode took place around the stadium after the 2-2 draw. Images posted on social media show members of organized groups using iron and wooden bars in the confrontation. The Military Police tried to contain the violence with tear gas bombs.
The images show two men unconscious and bleeding after the confrontation on Rua São Francisco Xavier, in Tijuca. One of them is attacked, already unconscious, with a kick to the face.
According to the Fire Department, the two injured were taken to the Souza Aguiar Municipal Hospital, in the center. The Municipal Health Department stated that the condition of the victims is “stable”.
The PM stated, in a statement, that agents “arrested ten fans involved in various confusions due to the classic”. The Civil Police stated that the case was registered at the 18th DP (Praça da Bandeira) and that “efforts are underway to investigate the facts”.
