A decision has been made to increase the fees for commissioners and observers by 10 euros.

Member of the Central Election Commission from the Vetëvendosje Movement, Alban Krasniqi, said that in addition to organizing the best possible electoral process, a decision has also been made to increase the payment by 10 euros for all those involved in the early elections on June 7.
Krasniqi, on the show “60 Minutes” on KTV, also said that this applies to each of the functions related to the Polling Station Councils, which means commissioners and observers.
The LVV member at the CEC also stated that in the budget foreseen for an electoral process, 60 percent of the budget is foreseen for payments of those engaged in the elections.
“We have taken an additional measure, looking at the standard of living on an ongoing basis, we have weighed their payment against the standards, we have increased by 10 euros each of the functions related to the Polling Station Councils and the counters themselves. The payment is to cover their expenses for this process, but in terms of importance there are no funds that can evaluate this process. In the budget planning, 60% are foreseen for salaries and other payments related to electoral bodies that are involved during this process”, said Krasniqi.
For the early elections on June 7, the CEC has planned almost 11 million euros in organizational expenses.
At the meeting held on May 1, the CEC also approved the activity plan. Based on it, the election campaign of political parties will last 10 days, starting from May 28 until June 7 at 7:00, when the polling stations open.
