Technical challenges have hit social media such as Facebook on Friday afternoon. Cause is still unknown.
Users have Friday at 16:00 Danish time – at 13:00 Greenland time, problems with accessing Facebook and Meta’s messaging service Messenger.
Downdetector, which reports Internet service outages, shows that users are experiencing problems accessing Meta’s services.
Meta Platforms is an American technology company that houses companies such as Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp.
According to Downdetector, users have reported crashes at Instagram, but WhatsApp does not appear to be affected by the problems.
It is not yet known what caused the crash.
Around 1:40 p.m., the problems seem to have been resolved.
