President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, during a working trip to the Khovaling district of Khatlon region on June 20, opened and remotely commissioned a number of social, industrial, tourism and infrastructure facilities built in preparation for the 35th anniversary of state independence of the republic.
According to press service of the head of statethe trip began with the opening after reconstruction of the administrative building of Khovaling Airport. The updated complex has waiting rooms, premises for receiving and dispatching passengers, a conference room, office rooms and a hotel. Emomali Rahmon noted that the facility can serve as an example for the development of local airports in other regions of the country.
Then the president visited the village of Shekhmizon, where he opened a sanatorium for orphans and disabled people, built by local entrepreneurs. The institution is designed for year-round stay of pupils and includes living rooms, educational workshops, a library, a medical office, sports grounds, swimming pools and a greenhouse.
The sanatorium has created 30 permanent jobs. The head of state instructed to ensure a high level of care, education and social support for children and people with disabilities.
During the trip, a tourist rural house was also opened in the village named after Gaffor Mirzo. The complex was built in traditional Tajik architectural style and includes a restaurant, walking areas, areas for recreation and entertainment. Emomali Rahmon emphasized that the development of such facilities helps to attract domestic and foreign tourists and popularize the culture and history of Tajikistan. After the opening of the complex, the President got acquainted with the exhibition of agricultural products of the region, where fruits, vegetables, honey and other goods from local producers were presented.
In the village of Munk, the President launched the work of a new workshop for the production of dairy products “Asri Vahdat”. The company produces more than ten types of dairy products, including kefir, yogurt, cheese, butter and cottage cheese. Its capacity is up to 30 tons of products per month, and after its launch, 20 residents of the area received permanent jobs.
Emomali Rahmon also got acquainted with the project for the construction of a sausage factory, which is planned to be opened on the basis of the same farm and which will also provide jobs for local residents.
In addition, the head of state remotely commissioned several educational and social infrastructure facilities. After reconstruction, school No. 6 named after Ibrohim Rakhmonzoda, designed for 1,280 students in two shifts, began operating. A new school No. 35 for 600 students was opened in the village of Aylodara.
Also in Khovaling, a new administrative building of the district department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was opened with modern offices and a conference room, and next to it there is a sports ground for employees and residents of the district. In the village of Darai Mukhtor, a modern sports complex was put into operation, including gyms, a football field, a swimming pool and recreation facilities.
