Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah met on Thursday with US Chargé d’Affaires Jeremy Berndt to discuss bilateral cooperation and a range of economic and development issues of mutual interest.
During the meeting, Dbeibah stressed the importance of all parties adhering to the unified development program, which has received technical support from the US Treasury Department, describing it as a framework that promotes transparency and financial discipline while helping ensure the fair distribution of development projects across Libya.
The two sides also discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation in the energy, oil and telecommunications sectors to support economic development, improve infrastructure and services, and expand investment opportunities through the transfer of expertise and modern technologies.
Dbeibah reiterated the importance of advancing the partnership between Libya and the United States in a manner that serves shared interests and supports efforts to promote stability and development in the country.
