Character: These are worth going to the cinema from April 24 to May 1

This is Telex Diszpó, Telex’s weekly cinema guide, where I collect one-off screenings, film clubs and retrospectives from the Hungarian cinema program between April 24 and May 1.

Telex Diszpó is a newsletter that you can subscribe to at this linkI send it out every Thursday, and it always has a program for the next 14 days with short outlooks or news that goes beyond that. Some cinema news:

• The next Telex Film Club will be held on April 30 in Toldi, the film a Whimsical adventures will be, and the guests will be Máté Járai and Kíra Járai, with whom I will talk about open marriage. You can get tickets here.
• The program of the Hungarian Film Day is open to the public, I myself spend a lot of time looking for information about different screenings, but I just found out that, for example, the one organized in Kincsem Park We never diethe only way someone could get a ticket was if they were drawn in a lottery. • The Hungarian Academy of Arts also holds film day screenings at Uránia, for example Zoltán Huszárik’s short films will be shown on the big screen. These are free, but you have to register here.
• From the beginning of May, the period director-cinematographer Ferenc Grunwalsky will be commemorated at the Circus with several screenings and a book launch on May 16. Details here.
