As the Ministry of Culture announced on Friday, after taking into account the recommendations of the Lithuanian Library Council, the title of the best librarian of last year was awarded to Žydrūna Tichanavičieni, the head of the regional library strategic development department of the Adam Mickevičius Public Library of Vilnius County.
It was evaluated for its significant contribution in strengthening the role of public libraries in the field of media and information literacy competence development of the population, contributing to critical information assessment skills, strengthening civic activity and society’s resistance to information threats, and creating an open and responsible society.
