The foreign minister said eight agreements and three agreements between Bangladesh and China were signed during the Prime Minister’s visit. Agreements have been signed for the construction of special EPZs for China at Mongla Port and Anwara in Chittagong. At the same time, the two sides agreed to check the feasibility of China’s cooperation in the Teesta project.
He said that Beijing has proposed China-Bangladesh-Myanmar corridor for direct communication from Kunming to Bangladesh. However, Bangladesh has not yet taken any decision on this matter.
In addition to this, the Prime Minister’s visit to Malaysia has seen great success of the ‘Bangladesh Fast Policy’, said Dr. Khalilur Rahman.
