Presentation by the President to the Senate of the Oliy Majlis on the release of Bakhtiyor Jahangirovich Islamov from the position of Supreme Court Chairman entered.
Bakhtiyor Islamov was elected as the Chairman of the Supreme Court in August 2022 at the meeting of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.
Before that, he was a judge in Fergana and Tashkent regions, until November 2020, he was the chairman of the Tashkent city court on criminal cases.
In November 2020, he was appointed the first deputy of Tursunkhan Khudoyberganov, adviser to the president on issues of protection of citizens’ rights and handling of appeals. A year later, he replaced Rustam Inoyatov as an adviser to the president on coordination of law enforcement and control bodies.
