The Persian Gulf Waterway Management Organization announced on X social network: In view of the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and the notification of the order of the relevant authorities, it informs the applicants to pass through the Strait of Hormuz within the announced time frame, ships that send their request for passage by observing the necessary points will be able to pass through.

The text of the announcement is as follows:

With regard to the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and the notification of the order by the responsible authorities, it is hereby informed to the applicants to pass through the Strait of Hormuz within the time frame announced in the memorandum of understanding, the traffic of ships that send their request for passage to the Persian Gulf Waterway Management by observing the following points will be carried out quickly.

The official address for submission of a passage request to the Persian Gulf Waterway Management Organization is PGSA.ir and the email to follow up on the request is Info@PGSA.ir.

    Important points:

    1. The only official channel for processing pass requests is the website and email.

    2. Valid and available ship contact routes must be provided in the submitted request.

    3. In order to avoid delays at the entrance or exit of the Strait of Hormuz, it is necessary to send a request for passage with complete information required at least 48 hours before reaching the Strait.

    4. During the 60-day period (negotiation period with America), no fees will be charged from the ships and the tariff for security, safety and environmental services as well as the relevant Iranian insurance will be borne by the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

    5. Due to the special conditions and the presence of some safety hazards in the crossing route and due to the need to ensure safe and secure traffic and prevent maritime accidents, coordination of the route and the announced time of passage for each ship before moving towards the strait is necessary, and the responsibility for not complying with these matters rests with the ship owner.
