The Saudi fans attended in large numbers in the area surrounding the stadium, and wore the national team’s flags in complete harmony with the “Ahead in the same spirit” campaign launched by the Saudi national team’s fans council, which in turn received the fans and distributed the tickets allocated to them. The fans then went on marches in support of the national team, which included fans who had come from the Kingdom, Saudi delegations and residents in the United States of America. They chanted national songs and carried the flags to reach the fan area designated by FIFA. For the masses.

SPA met a number of those in the fan zones, including Khaled Habash, who said: “Green marches took to the streets of Atlanta, the sixth largest city in the United States in terms of urban area, in an exceptional scene that brought to mind the major public events that the city has witnessed since it hosted the Olympic Games in 1996, amid a heavy Saudi presence, raising flags and chanting national songs in support of Green.”

He added: “The gatherings and marches reflected a high patriotic spirit among Saudi scholarship students and residents,” stressing that standing behind the team in international forums represents a national duty and an opportunity to highlight the image of the Kingdom and its fans to the world.

While the Saudi scholarship and recent graduate Turki Al-Juhani explained that Saudi fans traveled thousands of kilometers to reach Atlanta and support the team, coming from various parts of the United States, indicating that some of them traveled more than 3,500 kilometers from the cities of the West Coast, while the journeys of others exceeded 2,000 kilometers from the north and east, in an image that reflects the amount of passion and support enjoyed by the Saudi team in the 2026 World Cup.
