Closing the exit leading to King Khalid Road in Riyadh
The Riyadh Municipality, in cooperation with the General Traffic Department, announced the implementation of a temporary closure of the exit leading to King Khalid Road towards the south near the Al-Khuzama neighborhood, as part of the ongoing road development and maintenance work in the region, with the aim of raising the efficiency of the infrastructure and improving the flow of traffic.
The secretariat explained that the closure will begin as of Sunday, Dhu al-Hijjah 28, 1447 AH, corresponding to June 14, 2026 AD, calling on motorists to adhere to the temporary traffic diversions and alternative routes specified in the announced guide map.
She indicated that the new traffic diversion aims to ensure easy access to Diriyah Governorate and reduce the impact of the works on traffic, as alternative routes have been provided that enable road users to continue their journeys safely and smoothly during the period of work implementation.
The Riyadh Municipality stressed the importance of adhering to the directional signs and speeds specified within the detour area, noting that these measures come within its ongoing efforts to develop the road network and raise the level of traffic safety, in keeping with the urban and traffic growth witnessed by the capital, Riyadh.
