A serious traffic accident occurred today in the afternoon on the Autocesti A3 highway in Croatia, near Sredanci, in the direction of Bregan.
The operational and communication center of the Brod-Posavina Police Department received the report about the accident at 2:18 p.m. According to the first information, there was a fire in a truck in which there was one person, it says Morning paper.
The police say that a truck from the southbound lane broke through the central guardrail, crossed to the opposite side and ended up on the northbound lane, where it hit a power line. All competent emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene, and the investigation is ongoing and should determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
Unofficially, as reported by the Croatian media, the truck driver was stuck in the vehicle and died. According to these reports, it is about an elderly foreign citizen from North Macedonia.
The exact cause of the accident will be known after the completion of the police investigation.
