These days, the streets of Prague have come to life with the presence of a man whose name in recent years evokes as much admiration as heated debates. French actor Gérard Depardieu (77) arrived in the Czech capital to secretly congratulate the legendary Jiřina Bohdalová on her 95th birthday. But he was not alone. He had his longtime partner Magda Vavrušová (49) by his side.

Although they met already in 2007 during the filming, the spark between the actor and the Slovak-Czech production company did not fully fly until ten years later. Magda, who went to France at the age of eighteen, is not just a “friend of a famous man”. In Paris, she has built up respect as a film professional, and today it is she who holds the helm in the actor’s tumultuous private life.
“I fell in love with an impudent man”
Vavrušová is a rock support for Depardieu, especially at a time when faces serious charges and a lawsuit related to inappropriate behavior towards women. While the world condemns him, Magda publicly professes her love for his unbridled nature.
“I fell in love with a unique man – human, cheeky, provocative, vulgar, unusually cultured and free,” the brunette wrote on the social network. For her, he is not the sexual aggressor that some courts have labeled him as, but a talented artist who needs the protection of his family.
Prague rituals and peaceful support
The couple enjoyed the spring sun in the historic center during their visit to Prague. Depardieu, who leans on a cane when walking, seemed content in the company of Magda, who is 28 years younger. Their steps have traditionally also led to Sara Sandeva’s family’s favorite Mediterranean restaurant, where the French gourmet has a permanent place, informs iDnes.cz.

According to close friends, Magda is the only person who was able to tame his wild temperament. She is even supposed to have a close relationship with his daughter Julie and occasionally babysits his grandchildren. It seems that in a sea of legal problems and social decay, Magda is the safe harbor in which the French giant seeks peace.
