Sports journalist Jean Brunet Bontemps was shot and killed on Friday 1er May 2026, in Port-au-Prince. The former collaborator of Energie FM radio was hit by several projectiles at his home, in Ruelle Alerte, in the city center of the capital. The circumstances of this homicide still remain unclear.
