President Volodymyr Zelenskyi June 28 conferred the title of Hero of Ukraine on nine servicemen and policemen, eight of them posthumously.

Details: The title of Hero of Ukraine with the award of the “Golden Star” order was posthumously awarded to:

• Ihor Hryban is a senior soldier;

• Arsen Yurchenko — senior lieutenant;

• Vladyslav Shapoval – captain;

• Serhii Matvievsky — lieutenant;

• Oleg Grama – captain;

• Andriy Markiv — lieutenant;

• Oleksandr Kuralekh — police major;

• Roman Zelenskyi is a senior police lieutenant.

Also, the title of Hero of Ukraine with the awarding of the “Gold Star” order was awarded to senior police sergeant Yuriy Ilyashenko.

The decrees are signed “for personal courage and heroism shown in the defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as selfless service into the country’s people“.
