The “South” operational command reported that the commander of the 154th separate mechanized brigade, Colonel Volodymyr Kononnikov, was found dead on Sunday.

Literally command: “On June 28, the commander of the 154th ombre, Colonel Volodymyr Oleksandrovich Kononnikov, was found without signs of life. The circumstances of the officer’s death are being investigated.”

Details: OK “Pivden” noted that, according to preliminary information, no signs of violence were foundbut the final conclusions will be made by the results of the investigation.
Currently, law enforcement officers are conducting primary investigative actions, an official investigation has been scheduled.
The command of OK “South” declares that it “comprehensively supports the work of law enforcement agencies.”
“We ask media representatives and the public to refrain from spreading unverified information and to respect the privacy of the family of the deceased. Colonel Volodymyr Kononnikov was an officer devoted to Ukraine and the military cause, a responsible commander who took care of the personnel and needs of his military team,” the OC “South” emphasized.
