PARAMARIBO — A 12-year-old boy died on Wednesday afternoon after he fell into a recently dug deep gutter on Hoeksteenstraat, behind the Surcad ambulance station, in the Lelydorp police district. The police at the Lelydorp station received the report around five o’clock in the afternoon.
The boy’s body has now been recovered and the police have contacted the necessary authorities and started an investigation into the circumstances under which the incident occurred.
