BANJALUKA – The legendary rock band Van Gogh held a concert last night, on Friday, June 19, at the Summer Stage of the Kastel fortress, celebrating four decades of successful career, and the Banja Luka audience responded with energy, emotions and ovations that will be remembered for a long time.
The evening opened with the song “We are here tonight.”
A special atmosphere
Already after the first beats, it was clear that the concert would take place in a special atmosphere. Thousands of visitors sang the band’s biggest hits in unison, while Đule repeatedly expressed his satisfaction that they are celebrating a significant anniversary in the town on Vrbas.
“It is an honor for us to share this night with you in Banja Luka”, he told the audience, which was accompanied by strong applause.

The members of Van Gogh were joined on stage by Tibor Tišma, the frontman of the group “Aleksandrija”.
They performed the song “Mama” together, which the audience rewarded with long applause.
The boy Alexey on stage

One of the most memorable moments happened when Đule invited the boy Aleksej to the stage. In front of thousands of visitors, he gave him his guitar, after which the little boy played without fear. The delighted audience at Kastel then started chanting his name.
“Alekseeej, Alekseeej”, echoed through the Summer Stage, while the boy enjoyed the unusual moment.
The concert once again confirmed why Van Gogh has occupied a special place on the regional rock scene for 40 years. With hits that marked generations and a strong connection with the audience, the band gave Banja Luka an evening to remember, and Kastel once again showed that it is an ideal stage for big musical events.
