The famous football player, master of sports of the USSR and honored coach of Tajikistan Vladimir Gulyamkhaidarov, whom many fans knew as the “Tajik Pele”. About his death on June 15 reported Football Federation of Tajikistan.
According to FFT, Vladimir Alekseevich (Alishoevich) Gulyamkhaidarov passed away in Moscow.
Gulyamkhaydarov played as a midfielder and defended the colors of Dushanbe Energetik, Moscow Torpedo and Pamir. He went down in history as the first Tajik football player to play for the USSR Olympic team. In its composition, he played 8 matches and scored 3 goals.
After finishing his playing career in 1978, Gulyamkhaidarov took up coaching. He headed the Pamir and Vakhsh clubs, and in 1994 he was the head coach of the Tajikistan national team. Later he worked in several football clubs in Kazakhstan.
“Vladimir Gulyamkhaydarov made a great contribution to the development of Tajik football and will forever remain in the memory of fans, colleagues and students,” noted the Football Federation of Tajikistan.
