Berlin, June 12 (SANA) The Chargé d’Affaires of the Syrian Embassy in Berlin, Mohammad Baraa Shukri, met with Isaac Barakat, Metropolitan of Germany and Central Europe of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East, as well as Bishop Yohanna Haikal, Metropolitan of Berlin.
The meeting addressed a number of issues of mutual interest. Discussions also focused on the situation of Greek Orthodox parishioners residing in Germany and ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination in order to serve their affairs and meet their needs, according to a statement posted by the Syrian Embassy on X on Friday.
The meeting comes as part of the ongoing communication between the Syrian Embassy in Berlin and various religious and social institutions within the Syrian community in Germany, with the aim of following up on the affairs of Syrian citizens living there and enhancing cooperation to help meet their needs.
