US President Donald Trump called the information published in the Iranian media about the draft agreement with Iran as false, stating that this information does not correspond to the reality and the written terms agreed upon.
According to the explanation of the US president, the claims of the Iranian media, including those regarding reaching an agreement, have nothing to do with reality. In his post, Trump simultaneously accused Iran of attacking Indian ships leaving the Strait of Hormuz with drones, considering it completely unacceptable.
The Iranian Mehr news agency reported that the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran on conflict settlement consists of 14 points, among which are the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and the lifting of sanctions related to the sale of oil.
According to the agency, the document includes the following agreed provisions: an immediate cessation of fighting on all fronts, including in Lebanon, the lifting of the naval blockade within 30 days and the withdrawal of US forces from areas bordering the Islamic Republic, the presentation by the US and its allies of at least $300 billion in plans for the reconstruction of Iran, and the end of sanctions on the sale of Iranian oil and oil products.
In addition, according to the document, Iran and the US will hold negotiations on the nuclear issue within 60 days, as a result of which an agreement will be signed.
According to the agency, in order to start negotiations on the nuclear issue, Iran put forward the unfreezing of 12 billion dollars of assets, the lifting of the embargo and the cessation of oil sanctions.
According to the agency, however, the issues of Iran’s missile program and the support of the “axis of resistance” forces in the region were not included in the text of the US-Iran memorandum.
