For many New Yorkers, the atmosphere and the neighborhood are almost as important as the pizza itself.

Then can Scarr’s Pizza on the Lower East Side is highly praised for its classic New York pizza with a crispy crust and the spicy honey that is hugely popular today.
One of the most well-known places on the list, however, is without a doubt Lucali in Brooklyn. There are regularly long queues, but the place is very popular and almost legendary.
Then there are two places known for Detroit-style pies, but they are thick and box-shaped pizzas, and they are called Ace’s Pizza and Turbo Pizza.
For those who prefer a quieter atmosphere, it is recommended to visit places like Ops, where sourdough pizza and natural wine go together. Sofia Wine Bar is also popular, but that place is known for its Diavolo pizza with awesome Burrata cheese.
