With this new establishment, JYSK expands its national network and confirms the interest in the Moroccan market. The choice of Tangier is part of a logic of expansion towards the major cities of the Kingdom, in a context marked by the urban, economic and commercial dynamism of the city.
The new store spans a sales area of 1,000 m². It brings together the brand’s main areas, including bedding, furniture, decoration, storage, textiles, accessories and interior design solutions. The opening took place in the presence of the JYSK teams and partners. The inaugural ribbon was cut by Abderrahmane Benkhadra, store manager JYSK Tangier.
To support this opening, the brand offered introductory offers going up to 70% offas well as gifts for the first 300 customers. Beyond the commercial operation, this inauguration marks a new stage in the gradual establishment of JYSK on the Moroccan market.
“The opening of our Tangier store was a highlight for JYSK in Morocco. We were very happy to see the welcome given by the first customers, the interest of visitors in our concept and the energy of our teams on the ground. This inauguration confirms the relevance of our development in the Kingdom and our desire to offer a quality, accessible and attractive Scandinavian offer,” declared Igor Raićgeneral manager of JYSK Maroc.
The development of the brand is also accompanied by an increase in staff numbers. JYSK Morocco currently has 90 employees and plans to exceed 150 employees in the near future, as more stores open across the country.
“Each new opening is above all a human adventure. The inauguration of our Tangier store allows us to welcome new talents within the JYSK family and contribute to the creation of professional opportunities in the region,” added Igor Raić.
After Casablanca and Tangier, the brand is already preparing a new stage. On the occasion of the Tangier inauguration, the general director of JYSK Maroc announced a next opening has Rabat in the coming weeks.
