Two days of play, learning and creativity await the youngest in Sarajevo this weekend, when the “Goran Čengić” hall hosts the new edition of the Urban Kids Festival 2026.
The festival will be held on June 6 and 7, and this year it also brings a rich program intended for children, parents and families, with a focus on education, entertainment and inclusion.
Entrance to the festival is free, and the goal of the event is to create a safe and inspiring space where children can learn and develop their skills through play, socializing and creative activities.
The program of this year’s edition includes all-day children’s performances by schools, choirs, dance and art groups, as well as more than 30 educational and creative workshops. Children can also expect interactive games, exchange of pictures and numerous entertainment.
A special segment of the festival is made up of humanitarian activities in cooperation with the Pomozi.ba organization, including the donation of toys, as well as healthy eating workshops with the presence of a nutritionist. As part of the program, a panel discussion is planned in cooperation with the MAKi association, dedicated to the daily life of children with developmental disabilities, while the entertainment program and animations will be adapted to all ages.
The organizers point out that year after year the festival registers an increasing interest of schools, organizations and families, and that the goal is to further strengthen inclusion and raise awareness of important social issues.
