The French national team member Ibrahima Konata will leave Liverpool after his contract expires on June 30 this year, the English giant announced today, May 31.
Konate will thus end his episode at Anfield after five seasons, where he grew into one of the most important players in the last line of the team.
The 27-year-old stopper arrived in Liverpool in 2021 from German Leipzig, and played a total of 183 games for the Anfield club and scored seven goals.
During his stay in Liverpool, he won five trophies and left a deep mark on the shirt of the famous English club.
For now, it is not known where Konate will continue his career, but his departure represents a big challenge for Liverpool, who will have to find an adequate replacement in the defense during the summer transfer window.
