According to Jam Jam Online, quoting from the Ministry of Energy’s (PAON) information platform, Abbas Aliabadi, the Minister of Energy, through this letter to the country’s Water and Wastewater Engineering Company, in a circular based on paragraph (a) of Article (39) of the Seventh Development Program of the Islamic Republic of Iran Law, announced water price discount incentives for subscribers with below-standard consumption to be implemented in 1405.
According to this announcement, subscribers who have substandard consumption (less than the set pattern), if they reduce their consumption in the hot months of the year by at least 20% compared to the same period of the previous year, they will be entitled to a 20% water price discount in these months.
This report adds that subscribers with below-standard consumption who voluntarily and in coordination with the relevant water and sewerage company prepare and install consumption-reducing appliances, with the approval of that company regarding the installation and its effect on reducing consumption, will be entitled to a 30% discount for the hot months of the year.
It should be noted that the technical standards for installation and reduction of consumption will be determined by the country’s water and sewage engineering company, and based on the note of this notification, the maximum discounts applied to the water price of the subscribers will be 30%.
