According to the online economy report, quoted by Mehr, Mohammad Monfared, the vice-president of the Iranian Pharmacists Association, warned against the procedure that the distribution companies have taken to sell drugs to pharmacies and said: imposing cash sales of drugs to pharmacies will be accompanied by many problems and will make people’s access to drugs; be disturbed
With the title of this article that pharmacies do not have cash to buy drugs, he criticized the shrinking approach of drug distribution companies and added: “In many cases, we see the presence of drugs in the warehouse of distribution companies and the inability of pharmacies to buy and provide them to patients.”
Pointing to the non-interaction of distribution companies with pharmacies, Monfared continued: the requirement to purchase cash on delivery, the requirement for pharmacies to pay in advance before delivering the medicine, the requirement to pay a check, the compulsion to buy a basket of drugs, blocking or limiting the banking operations of pharmaceutical partners, etc., are among the problems that distribution companies have created for pharmacies.
The vice president of the Iranian Pharmacists Association emphasized: This issue reduces the ability to purchase and supply drugs and increases the risk of drug shortages.
