A 17-year-old boy caused an evacuation of Nuuk Airport on Monday morning.
Warden Preben Kleist says that the police received a report of a bomb threat at Nuuk Airport on Monday morning.
In this connection, the airport staff initiated an evacuation of the airport.
The warden says that the police went to the scene, and here the law enforcement got hold of a suspected 17-year-old boy who allegedly made the threat.
The warden says that the cordon and evacuation of the airport has been lifted after the police’s investigations and conversation with the 17-year-old.
Charges have been brought against the 17-year-old, and police lawyers must now assess the case.
It is the second time within two weeks that a bomb threat has been reported at Nuuk Airport. On Tuesday 17 March, the police also moved out when a man had talked about a bomb at the airport.
