The 19th Annual Tim’s Refrigeration Eleuthera Tennis Doubles Tournament was held April 25-26 on the island of Eleuthera.
The Eleuthera Tennis Association (ETA) and its president Artie Johnson thanked the sponsor Tim Dames for his continuous support of this tournament and the sport of tennis on Eleuthera overall. Thanks was also extended to all of the players who showed up and competed.
The 2026 men’s doubles champions are Kavaughn Ferguson and Ayai Bethel, and the runners-up are Jethro Armstrong and Chris Evans.
In mixed doubles, the team of Horatio Green and Isabella Bullard prevailed. The team of Tim Dames and Kadence Hanna are the runners-up.
The women’s doubles winners are Isabella Bullard and Kadence Hanna, winning in a walkover.
The men’s doubles consolation winners are Charles Rolle and Horatio Green.
Plaques were presented to Tim Dames for his continuous sponsorship of the tournament, Michael Tsoumpas and family for their support, and Wesley Lembert and family for their support for the ETA Feeding Program ‘Tennis For Hunger’. There were also celebrations for three-time Bahamas Game bronze medalist Albert McKinney and his wife for their 45th wedding anniversary.
The Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association (BLTA congratulates the ETA and Artie Johnson on another successful event, where adults were able to compete, and also congratulates all the winners, runners-up and participants.
