Two Ridgeland Park residents are accused of robbing a man of $3,000 in a set-up robbery.
Stephan Davis, otherwise known as Crime, and Troy Storr, also known as Troy Stubbs, were charged with the April 23 armed robbery of D’Shawn Util.
Prosecutors allege that Util had planned to buy a Nissan Note with the money, and he met with one of the accused to make the purchase.
While dealing with the sales paperwork, a second man robbed him at gunpoint and both men allegedly sped off in the car Util intended to buy.
Davis and Storr did not have to enter pleas to the charges when they appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Ancella Evans.
They were all denied bail and the matter was adjourned to September 3 for the presentation of a voluntary bill of indictment.
Inspector Deon Barr was the prosecutor and Levan Johnson appeared for Storr.
