8 fireworks sites in Ho Chi Minh City
Ho Chi Minh City will host a festival to mark the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2026), as well as the 140th International Workers’ Day (May 1, 1886 – May 1, 2026).
As part of the program, the city plans fireworks at eight locations from 9:00 pm to 9:15 pm, including:
High-altitude displays at the Saigon River Tunnel entrance in An Khanh Ward, the new city center in Binh Duong Ward, and Ba Ria Park Square in Ba Ria Ward.
Five low-altitude displays will take place at Dam Sen Cultural Park in Binh Thoi Ward, Saigon Marina IFC Tower in Sai Gon Ward, Kim Long Villa area – Rach Dia Bridge in Nha Be Commune, Can Gio coastal urban tourism area – Vinhomes Green Paradise in Can Gio Commune, and the Cu Chi Tunnels historical site in An Nhon Tay Commune.
Traffic restrictions will be in place around the three high-altitude sites due to large expected crowds, with alternative routes arranged.
Fireworks in Dong Nai and other localities
On Thursday evening, Dong Nai City will hold art performances in Tran Bien Ward and Binh Phuoc Ward to mark the anniversary celebrations and the establishment of the city.
At 9:00 pm, high-altitude fireworks will be launched at Tran Bien Ward, Binh Phuoc Ward, and Dai Phuoc Commune.
At the same time, low-altitude fireworks will be held simultaneously across 10 new wards of Dong Nai City, including Dong Phu, Tan Phu, Loc Ninh, Tan Khai, Tri An, Xuan Loc, Dau Giay, Long Thanh, Trang Bom, and Nhon Trach.
Other fireworks events nationwide
Hai Phong City will stage a high-altitude fireworks display at Vu Yen Island, Thuy Nguyen Ward, on Thursday evening.
The city will also host an artistic fireworks display in front of the Political-Administrative Center Square during the opening of the Red Flamboyant Festival 2026, from 9:20 pm to 9:32 pm on May 8.
In Quang Ninh Province, Sun Group will organize daily fireworks shows during the April 30–May 1 holiday at Sun Porto Town and Sun Elite City (Lighthouse area) on Ky Quan Street in Bai Chay Ward.
These displays will take place at 9:30 pm each day and run through May 3.
In Ca Mau Province, provincial authorities will hold a fireworks display at Phan Ngoc Hien Square in An Xuyen Ward at 9:00 pm on Thursday, which will be broadcast live.
