Southwest Iceland is expected to enjoy the warmest temperatures tomorrow, Iceland’s National Day, June 17, with temperatures likely reaching 12–14°C.
That is according to Haraldur Ólafsson, meteorologist at the Icelandic Meteorological Office, in an interview with mbl.is.
Although skies are expected to be mostly cloudy, there may be occasional breaks of sunshine.
Cooler in the North and East
A northeasterly wind will dominate across the country and is expected to be fairly brisk, although lighter in the Capital Region.
Eastern Iceland is forecast to be wet and chilly, while North Iceland should remain relatively cool with little precipitation.
Temperatures in both northern and eastern parts of the country are expected to range between 6 and 8°C.
