JARIC ST.VINCENT LTD. has announced the launch of its annual “Don’t Wreck Your Carnival” road safety campaign for Carnival 2026, a national initiative it said is aimed at promoting safe driving, responsible road use, and public awareness during one of the nation’s busiest periods.
Now in its ninth year, Jaric said the campaign continues to serve as a powerful reminder of the devastating consequences of impaired driving, speeding, distracted driving, fatigue, and other unsafe road behaviours that contribute to road traffic crashes during the carnival season.
The campaign which began yesterday, Monday, June 26 will run until July 10, 2026, engaging the public throughout the carnival period with impactful messaging.
As part of this year’s campaign, Jaric St. Vincent Ltd. is installing educational static displays featuring wrecked vehicles at strategic locations throughout the country. These displays are intended to encourage motorists and pedestrians to reflect on the real-life consequences of poor decisions on the road and to make safety a priority throughout the festivities. Four insurance companies have provided the wrecked vehicles being used in the displays.
The campaign will also features a robust public awareness programme utilizing radio announcements, social media outreach and the distribution of practical road safety tips designed to encourage responsible behaviour before, during, and after carnival events, Jaric said.
“At Jaric St. Vincent Ltd., we believe road safety is more than a campaign, it is a responsibility. As an organization committed to protecting lives and promoting safer communities, we recognize that Carnival, while a time of celebration,
culture, and enjoyment, is also a period when road traffic crashes and preventable tragedies often increase,” business services manager Keisher Billingy, is quoted as emphasizing.
“ Through the ‘Don’t WreckYour Carnival’ Campaign, we are fulfilling our social responsibility by raising awareness, encouraging responsible road use, and empowering individuals to make safer choices. Our goal is simple, to help ensure that everyone can enjoy Carnival and return home safely to their families and loved ones. No celebration is worth the loss of a life, and together we can create a culture where safety remains at the heart of the Carnival experience.”
